The Honeymoon is Officially Over, Folks! (That didn't take long!) From the boys blowing hand bubbles with the soap in the bathroom to the girls passing intricately folded notes, I realize that the 'easy' first days of the year are quickly passing me by. It seems that as soon as I 'nip something in the bud', another thing arises to challenge my observation skills (not to mention my patience). I hate the phrase 'don't smile until November' because I want my students to be comfortable in our classroom but when your students call you Ms. Peachy Pickle instead of your actual name, you've got a problem!
Teacher Tip #6 'Bud Nipping' should be declared a required course in all education degrees but since it isn't, you should consider doing an independent study in the future.
